Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent are long-time veterans of the professional bluegrass scene. At the 2008 International Bluegrass Music Awards Show, held at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, they walked away with an unprecedented seven trophies. Their awards included Entertainer, Vocal Group, Emerging Artist and Gospel Recorded Performance of the Year (for “By the Mark”). Their self-titled debut CD on Rounder Records went straight to the top of the Billboard bluegrass charts, where it remained for 35 weeks. The album was also #1 for three consecutive months on the Bluegrass Unlimited album chart, and was #1 on the Bluegrass Music Profiles Top 10 Bluegrass CD’s chart in the September/October issue.
Jamie Dailey toured and recorded with multiple award-winner Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver for nine years, performing on nine of the band’s albums. During Jamie’s tenure the band won 13 IBMA Awards, including Vocal Group of the Year from 2001-2007 and Song of the Year for “Blue Train,” which earned four Grammy and five Dove Award nominations. Jamie has recorded with Dolly Parton and Rhonda Vincent, appeared on six Gaither Homecoming DVD’s, and was a guest on Ricky Skaggs’ Grammy-winning Brand New Strings album.
Darrin Vincent started singing at age three as part of his family band, The Sally Mountain Show, along with sister Rhonda Vincent. As a member of Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder for ten years, Darrin has won five Grammy Awards and eight IBMA Awards for Instrumental Group of the Year. He also performed on Grammy-winning albums by Dolly Parton and Jimmy Sturr, and has performed and recorded with a multitude of other artists including Nora Jones, Emmylou Harris, Earl Scruggs, Bruce Hornsby, Vince Gill, John Hartford and Keith Urban.
