Kate Power and Steve Einhorn, legendary in the Pacific Northwest music community, have spent the last several years traveling the U.S as ambassadors for community-building through singing, harmonizing and instrument playing. Although the ukulele is their primary musical tool, they also play guitar, banjo and other folk instruments. Their many Ukalaliens Workshops, along with their “Ukalaliens Songbook & CD,” were created to convert the uninitiated to the joys of making music using ukuleles and folk songs. Their method is drawn from introducing instruments into the hands of new players for 25 years in their musical instrument shop of in Portland, Oregon.
