This 6-hour course is the perfect introduction to the art of country, blues, R&B and rock bass playing. You'll learn everything you'll need to play the rhythmic pulse and bottom notes that will drive any kind of band. Roly Salley, 25-year veteran bassist for the Chris Isaak Band, starts you off on your first fretted notes, scales and intervals. By the second lesson you'll already be playing bass lines and runs to country songs. Then you're off and running, and by the time you've completed the course you'll be accompanying blues, western swing, rock and roll and other musical genres. You'll have learned enough to get your groove going for jam sessions or performances!
