I've been playing acoustic for around 14 years now and want to buy my first Steve Kaufman DVD. I
mainly am looking for something to help me build confidence in my soloing and the best DVD that
would help me master the fretboard, but with a few extra tips as well. Here are the one's I've
considered from greatest to least (in terms of my interest in each and which ones I think will be best
for me):

• Figuring Out the Fretboard
• Picking Up Speed
• Learning to Flatpick
• Breakout Leads for Bluegrass Songs

Which would you consider the best of the four? Thanks!

Each of these Steve Kaufman DVDs has been very popular, so you could almost start anywhere. If you are a complete newcomer to bluegrass flatpicking, you might want to get the basics down with his "Learning to Flatpick." Start with #1 for the basics and then work your way through the three DVDs.

"Figuring Out the Fingerboard" will give you a good understanding of the guitar notes up and down the frets, which will be useful in bluegrass (Steve's forté) or any other style you want to play.

"Picking Up Speed" really works on your flatpicking technique to help you become a stronger and more facile player so you can keep up with others in jam sessions, or just become a better player.

By the way, don't forget about Steve's CD/book products, especially his "Parking Lot Pickers" and his "Bluegrass Workouts" series

Again, all of Steve's lessons have been top sellers for years, so you can't go wrong with any of them. Good luck!

Musically yours,

Happy

Thanks, Happy. Guess I'll just have to draw straws; they all look so good!
