Bruce Bouton
Bruce Bouton is one of the instrumental stars on the Nashville studio scene. After five years of playing with Ricky Skaggs (you’ve heard his steel solos on hits like Heartbroke, Country Boy, You May See Me Walkin’ and Highway 40 Blues), he toured with Mel Tillis and Foster & Lloyd. For the past decade he’s been concentrating on session work, playing on albums by Kathy Mattea, Garth Brooks, Emmylou Harris, Shania Twain, Wynonna, The O’Kanes, Daniel O’Donnell, Randy Travis, The Oak Ridge Boys and Pam Tillis.
As a songwriter, Bruce co-wrote "Against The Grain" for Garth Brooks’ Ropin' The Wind album, which has sold more than 11 million copies. He also served as mastermind and executive producer of “Mama's Hungry Eyes,” a tribute album to Merle Haggard and a fund-raiser for Second Harvest Food Banks.
