Eliot Fisk
Eliot Fisk, known around the world for his dazzling technique and brilliant concert performances, was a student and friend of the great Andres Segovia. In 1974, Segovia began coaching Eliot privately and held him in the highest regard as a student, writing, "I consider Eliot Fisk as one of the most brilliant, intelligent and gifted young artists of our time, not only among guitarists but in all the general field of instrumentalists...."
Fisk's ongoing contribution to the world of guitar and classical music would certainly please the Maestro today. An heir to Segovia's legacy, Fisk has performed solo and concerto engagements at major halls throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. Aside from his hectic touring schedule, he has teaching commitments at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria and the New England Conservatory in Boston. His many recordings, including the acclaimed Segovia "Canciones Populares" (MusicMasters), have received rave reviews and a place on the Billboard classical charts. Fisk recently performed at a private reception for President and Mrs. Clinton given by the King and Queen of Spain, which speaks to his reputation as an important musician and performer of our time.
