Jim Kweskin
Jim Kweskin is regarded as one of the most influential performers to emerge from the 1960's folk revival, having lead his famous Kweskin Jug Band with fingerpicking finesse and an energizing repertoire of folk, blues, string band and ragtime songs. During the five years they were together, the group, featuring Geoff and Maria Muldaur, Bill Keith, Fritz Richmond, Richard Greene and other musical luminaries, successfully transformed the sounds of pre-World War II rural music into a springboard for their good-humored performances.
They released six albums, appeared often on national television and were, by some accounts, "the coolest band of a cool decade." Jim continues to appear at venues throughout the country as a solo artist.
