Kevin Henderson
Kevin Henderson began playing the fiddle at the age of 9, taking private lessons with highly renowned Shetland fiddler, Trevor Hunter. At the age of 10 he began studying under the late great Willie Hunter, arguably Shetland’s finest-ever fiddler.
Kevin is a founding member of the award-winning Shetland powerhouse, Fiddlers’ Bid. In addition, he is a member of folk music legends Boys of the Lough; the Scottish super-group Session A9; and co-founder of the Nordic Fiddlers Bloc.
In 2011 Kevin released his debut solo album, “Fin Da Laand Ageen” to great critical acclaim. He has toured extensively throughout the US, Canada, Japan, Australia and Europe, and has performed on TV and radio programs all over the globe.
