Lisa Liu
Lisa Liu is a virtuoso guitarist based in Brooklyn, NY. She plays Gypsy jazz, experimental, folk, rock and solo guitar, and is an accomplished teacher and workshop instructor as well as being a working musician. She performs regularly with the Cornelius Eady Eady Trio and with her own Lisa Liu Trio.
Liu is an Artist Ambassador for Santa Cruz Guitar Company and is also endorsed by Krivo Pickups. She is a Teaching Artist at Django In June; has been an Artist In Residence at the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation; and is a teaching affiliate for the Music Department at Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus. She also gives lessons privately.
Liu released her debut jazz album "Introducing... Lisa Liu" on November 12th, 2019. She has performed at the Django Reinhardt Festival (France), the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery (Washington DC), Academy of Music (MA), Peabody Essex Museum (MA), The Rubin Museum of Art (NYC), Joe's Pub (NYC), Barbes (NYC), The Plaza (NYC), The Knockdown Center (NYC), and the Hill-Stead Museum (CT).
