Nick Forster
Musician and songwriter Nick Forster is familiar to most contemporary bluegrass fans. During his 12 years as bass player and singer with the Grammy-nominated, award winning bluegrass band, Hot Rize, Nick performed for audiences worldwide. (He also played guitar with Hot Rize's alter ego, The Trailblazers, under the name of Wendell Mercantile.)
Nick has been on countless radio and television programs, with numerous appearances on A Prairie Home Companion and Austin City Limits. Rolling Stone Magazine calls Nick "an exceptional songwriter ...unquestionably a virtuoso." He is the co-host and co-producer (along with his wife, Helen Forster) of the nationally syndicated radio show etown.
