Steve Wariner
Steve Wariner started out in music as a guitar player, but as he puts it, "...the bands I first played in always seemed to be more in need of a singer than a guitarist." Since 1980, Steve has recorded 16 acclaimed albums, earning a Grammy, a Country Music Association Award and twenty-seven (and counting) Top 10 singles. He has appeared on numerous TV shows, and recorded the theme for ABC's "Who's The Boss?"
Called Nashville's Renaissance Man in recognition of his talents as multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer, painter, magician and showman, Steve has recorded with Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Richie Sambora, Dottie West, Bob Luman, and many others. With his album "No More Mr. Nice Guy" (Arista) Steve finally got to showcase his superb skills as a guitar instrumentalist. He was joined on this CD by many musicians familiar to Homespun students: Béla Fleck, Mark O'Connor, Sam Bush and Chet Atkins, among others.
