Warren Bernhardt
Classically-trained jazz pianist, composer, arranger and producer Warren Bernhardt has performed widely both as a soloist and with his own bands. In a long and successful career, he has been Steely Dan's pianist and musical director; co-leader of Steps Ahead; and has toured and recorded with Paul Winter, Jack Dejohnette, Gerry Mulligan, Jeremy Steig and Mike Mainieri, among many others.
He has also accompanied great singers, such as Carly Simon, Tim Hardin, Art Garfunkel, Richie Havens, Michael Franks, Patti Lupone and Liza Minnelli. He edited the English translation of "Dance Of The Infidels," a biography of Bud Powell, and, in 1997, Hal Leonard published his own piano transcriptions. Warren has played on countless jazz/pop albums and more than 50 feature film soundtracks. In 2004 he performed throughout the world in Simon and Garfunkle's acclaimed "Old Friends" tour.
