The pennywhistle, or tin whistle, is simple enough for a child to play--or worthy of a lifetime of study. The virtuoso flute and whistle player of The Boys of the Lough brings his vast knowledge of traditional Irish music to the teaching of this wonderful instrument. Starting with basic scales and simple tunes, Cathal introduces increasingly difficult moves, such as rolls, grace notes, piping techniques (the cran) and even playing two whistles at once.
